Julian Tollestrup – Policy & Research Coordinator, Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor
Julian assists with coordinating the office’s research activities and leads the day-to-day management of the Small Advanced Economies Initiative – an international initiative of small nations investigating policy relevant issues surrounding science, innovation, and economics. His role includes analysing and communicating policy relevant materials to inform the office and public policy officials on a broad range of issues.
Julian comes from an economic research background in both the public and private sector where he was primarily focussed on issues relating to natural resources and international development. Julian brings particular expertise in the areas of economic impact assessment, statistical analysis, and the political economy of innovation policy.
Julian holds degrees in economics and political science with a postgraduate focus on econometrics.
